Tomorrow, Terry and Sara Iles begin a new chapter in their lives.

It will be Terry’s first day as a New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary professor.

Terry is Dry Creek’s first (and only) Hebrew scholar.

Doctor “T-Dawg” (as he is widely known to family and friends) and Sara will move to New Orleans over the summer.

In addition to Hebrew, he will teach Old Testament and supervise the Seminary’s PhD program.

Although Terry did not achieve his childhood dreams of playing for the Houston Astros and/or driving a Little Debbie’s truck, we are proud of him.

Terry and Sara have worked so hard to reach this day, and we are excited to watch the next leg of their journey unfold. We are so grateful for how God has worked in their lives.

Even though they are kidnapping our granddaughters (Emma and Eliza) to the “City that Care Forgot”, we send them with our prayers and blessings. Please pray for them as they move to a new place with a new job.

They’ll reside on the Seminary campus and live in a rich environment of fellow teachers, families, and students.

Finally, should anyone worry about Dr. Terry Iles getting the bighead, remember that’s what big brothers are for.
